Duplex stainless steel 2507 alloy is a compound stainless steel composed of 25% chromium, 4% molybdenum, 7% nickel and nitrogen alloy. It has high strength, good impact toughness and good overall and local stress corrosion resistance. The content of chromium, molybdenum and nitrogen in the two-phase steel 2507 makes it highly resistant to point corrosion and gap corrosion in oxidizing and acidic solutions. The two-phase microstructure of stainless steel is helpful to improve the stress corrosion cracking resistance of stainless steel. Chloride stress corrosion occurs in austenitic stainless steel under certain temperature, stress, oxygen and chloride.
